I’m on tenterhooks over this.
But whatever happens (I know you and Finn McCool are both into some scary shite) the speed and ferocity of the images rule the day.

Thanks again, Unc. You are my One True Fan. As I was drafting this, I felt very uneasy about dipping into an action chase sequence. Eventually I reconciled with myself, by reminding me about all the great action scenes and chases I admire, like in French Connection, Pixar movies, Looney Tunes, the Bourne flicks, kung fu and samurai movies, Murakami novels. Remembered there can be an honest emotional element, and it can almost be like a number in a musical, a break from reality that reveals something about the character or the situation while giving you some rhythmic fun. Anyhow, I’m glad it struck a nerve.
